BLFC Round 18 - The Dees II

Just when you thought The Brisbane Lions had run out of ways to disappoint and frustrate the supporter base... THAT happens. A very deflated (and sick) JB joins Patrick again for The Brisbane Lions Fancast for a look over on another loss at The MCG in heart breaking fashion. we discuss where it all went wrong and answer some listener questions before taking a very brief look at The Cats next week at The Gabba and going right back in history for a nostalgic player of the week.

BLFC Round 17 - The Eagles

Better late than never The Round 17 recap of The Brisbane Lions FanCast with JB and Patrick is here to take a look at the match against The Eagles.Whilst it wasn't the most awe inspiring game of Footy, Jack Gunston came back with a bang and we got another different look at our forward structure.  A very special nostalgic player of the week gets a mention and we set our sights ahead to a big test at The G against Melbourne.

BLFC Round 16 - The Tigers

In one of the most comprehensive displays of footy in recent memory, JB and Patrick take a look at Brisbanes Round 16 match against Richmond at The Gabba. The midfield dominated, the defensive structures were impeccable and the final score line was a thing of a beauty. With the Eagles next, The 2 games that follow present a fairly hefty challenge. Does Zorko come straight back in? and how far away is Daniel Rich or Jack Gunston? All this and more on the latest episode of The Brisbane Lions Fancast.

BLFC Round 15 - The Saints (Spud’s Game)

A very impressive performance from The Lions sees them go a game clear into third position of the AFL ladder. Harris Andrews down back and Eric Hipwood in the forward line were mighty in their efforts aided by a strong performance from the midfield. JB and Patrick take a look at the game, hand out some votes and talk about any upcoming changes to the lineup as well as answer a couple of listener questions. The next month of footy sees 3 out of 4 games at The Gabba with a seriously challenging game against Melbourne at the dreaded MCG. Have the lions settled on their best 22 or will there be more changes before September action? JB and Patrick discuss all this as well as throw another nostalgic name out there to get the fond memories up and about!

BLFC Round 14 - The Swans

Back on the winners list but far from a convincing performance, JB and Patrick take a look at a very contested Round 14 match against Sydney with all the changes that took place. A debut for a very promising father-son selection, an old favourite cementing himself in the 22 and a different look at a tall forward line as well as promising signs from some players that have been below their best for a while. 
A 'raking left footer' makes an appearance as this weeks nostalgic player and the boys take a look at the game plan and give their uneducated opinion on some apparent holes in the structure.

BLFC Round 13 - The Hawks

Not the type of game most of us fans want to look back on too much but take this episode of The Brisbane Lions Fancast as some sort of group therapy as we all get it off our chest and put it in the bin. JB and Patrick share the frustration that we know you are all feeling after another poor performance at The MCG. This time against the 16th placed Hawks. BLFC Round 12 - The Bye

The week off is always a tough one for any footy fan but Patrick and JB are back to make the most of it with another episode of The Fancast! The boys will give you a summation of the year so far, talk about the best wins, the worst losses, players who have impressed and those that need to lift as well as give you an update on the votes and the leader board so far this year. Not a game that JB and Patrick really want to look back on with much favour but still it has to be done. BLFC Round 10 - The Q Clash

As The Lions march towards the bye with another 7 goal win under their belt, JB and Patrick take a look at The first Q Clash of 2023 and talk about what teams are doing to try and take the game away from Brisbane. BLFC Round 9 - The Bombers

6 Wins on the trot for The Brisbane Lions means they move up to third on the AFL table but round 9 against Essendon wasn't all sunshine and roses. A very frustrating and low scoring first half of footy left a lot to be desired but thanks to Joe Daniher's 6 goals and the team collectively pulling their fingers out at half time, the game opened up and The Lions banged on 10 goals to run out 42 point winners. Patrick and JB review the game against The Dons, give out their votes and reminisce about a nostalgic player of yesteryear.
